Nadine (Anneke Kim Sarnau) does everything she can to stay young, toned and attractive even at 50. But when her husband Philipp (Godehard Giese) turns to a prostitute, she falls into a deep life crisis. What did the other person do that she didn't do?

Meanwhile, her daughter Lilly (Emilia Packard) is busy listening to her teacher Vicky's (Nora Tschirner) lectures about the invisibility of women in history and wonders whether she can even say what she doesn't want - for example to her boyfriend Enno (Levy Rico Arcos). During the project days he sits in a course on “toxic masculinity”, led by Vicky's new colleague Trevor (Malick Bauer), who quickly arouses her interest. But Vicky misses her partner Franz, who has retreated to the mountains for an indefinite period of time because she is no longer sure whether isolated togetherness is the right model of life for her. Julie (Emilia Schüle) also feels isolation in her new job as production manager for a TV show. Dealing with an abusive colleague increases her self-doubt: Is she really too difficult, too sensitive, too loud? But even if she raises her voice, no one will really listen. Listening is also difficult for Sonja (Karoline Herfurth) and Milan (Friedrich Mücke), who have since separated. They try to find a common language during family therapy, but when Sonja finds out about Milan's new partner, it hits her hard. Fearing that she will be left behind alone, she ventures into dating - and realizes that she is looking for something completely different.
