Kang Je-Gyu (Shiri, Taegukgi, My Way) ist wieder am Start.
In 1947, two years after Korea's liberation from Japanese colonial rule, Suh Yun-Bok (Im Si-Wan) is 24 year old marathon runner. He prepares for the upcoming 51st Boston Marathon with Head Coach Son Kee-Jung (Ha Jung-Woo) and Coach Nam Seung-Ryong (Bae Sung-Woo). Head Coach Son Kee-Jung won the gold medal at the 1936 Berlin Olympics, but because Korea was under Japanese colonial rule at the time, he wore the Japanese flag on his chest. Son Kee-Jung badly wants his trainee Sun Yun-Bok to win at the 51st Boston Marathon while wearing the Korean flag on his chest. After many difficulties to get to Boston, they finally arrive one week before the race will commence.
